Paragraph of the week #4

Hell0!

This school year we are starting something new it’s called paragraph of the week every week I will be posting a paragraph on the prompt that my teacher has given and at the end of the year I will be able to look back on my writing and see how I have improved please tell me your thoughts on the prompt in the comments!

When have you had to demonstrate bravery and courage? What is the hardest thing about having courage?

Personally, this week was extremely challenging my first struggle was the fact that I couldn’t think of a specific example of when I was courageous, this made the assignment particularly challenging so instead of sharing something I have done I have decided I would share an act of courage someone else had. A couple of years ago my brother had extreme stomach pain little did we know this would be the start of a very “fun” couple of years, we assumed he just had a stomach ache so we gave him Advil and sent him on his way he returned later still in pain so we waited overnight he was still in pain the next morning and my mother being Jewish was extremely worried that his appendix had burst so we took him to the hospital. You may be wondering what I was thinking at this time little Audrey was hoping he would be fine in the next 3 days because my sleepover birthday party was coming up and I was most definitely not going to miss that. Turns out he had pancreatitis which is inflation of the pancreas This is fairly rare especially for a child and is normally caused by heavy alcohol use, considering my brother was 7 we could rule that option out the other case is gallstones, unfortunately, we did not know this until this year. My brother stayed in the hospital for about 2 weeks during his stay he was extremely brave this happened to my brother several more times the most recent time being this year he even had to leave camp early because of it later we would find out why but that’s a story for another day. In conclusion, my brother is very brave and I am very proud of him sometimes it is hard to e brave especially when people around you haven’t experienced what you are going through but my brother did it!

What’s a time when you were brave?

    Dear Audrey
I have so enjoyed reading all your blog posts.
Your thought process is excellent and creative. Please remember to use punctuation. Periods and commas are most helpful when trying to grasp the author’s thoughts.
    Love you
